A useful relocation quotation is more than one number. It should make the moving scope understandable before packing starts.

The move origin and destination, approximate inventory or service scope, packing and handling requirements, vehicle or transport plan where known, and the quoted charges or applicable taxes.
Floor access, lift availability, distance between parking and the property, quantity of belongings, dismantling, fragile items, storage, vehicle transport and destination access can change the work involved.
Before confirming, check whether packing material, labour, loading, unloading, unpacking, dismantling/reassembly, transportation and other requested services are included or separately charged.
Save the written quotation and any later scope confirmation. If the job changes materially, ask for the revised scope in writing before the additional work is undertaken.
